A 1910 Christmas Reverie by Uncle Henry

NanaNana lives in Newton when she is at home, but Nana's sometimes frisky and dearly loves to roam. She went out to Chicago, her brother to see, and did a heep of gadding, as those who know agree. Nana's House

From thence unto Manhattan she made a straightway rush and took it's famous subway amid an awful crush, that she might reach as spryly as a frightend little mouse.

The ChildrenUp in the Bronx the portals of a certain pretty house and this is the house to which Nana went.

These are the children, both happy and bright, who are busy all day and at night sleep tight in the house to which Nana went. The Man with the Beard

This is the man with a beard so trim who is proud that the children belong to him the children dear, so happy and bright, who are busy all day and at night sleep tight in the house to which Nana went.

The LadyThis is the lady of smiling main who is resting now, as can be plainly seen, to please the man with the beard so trim who is proud that the children belong to him the children dear, so happy and bright, who are busy all day and at night sleep tight in the house to which Nana went. The Tree

This is the tree so pretty and light, to which the dear baby, the new little might, was brought by lady of smiling mein who was resting once as can be plainly seen, to please the man with the beard so trim who is proud that the children belong to him the children dear, so happy and bright, who are busy all day and at night sleep tight in the house to which Nana went.

Brave Little MenThis is a view of brave little men showing the good weapons that Santa brought them, but not on tree so pretty and light to which the dear baby, the wee little mite, was brought by lady of smiling mein who was resting once as can be plainly seen, to please the man with the beard so trim who is proud that the children belong to him the children dear, so happy and bright, who are busy all day and at night sleep tight in the house to which Nana went.

Sword FightThis shows how, as all gentlemen should, fencing was practised with swords made of wood, in friendly fight twixt brave little men who owned the good weapons Santa brought them, but not on tree so pretty and light to which the dear baby, the wee little mite, was brought by lady of smiling mein who was resting once as can be plainly seen, to please the man with the beard so trim who is proud that the children belong to him the children dear, so happy and bright, who are busy all day and at night sleep tight in the house to which Nana went.

IndiansNow ti's Indians trained on the floor, when muscles are tired and sword play is o'er after when, as all gentlemen should, fencing was practised with swords made of wood, in friendly fight twixt brave little men who owned the good weapons Santa brought them, but not on tree so pretty and light to which the dear baby, the wee little mite, was brought by lady of smiling mein who was resting once as can be plainly seen, to please the man with the beard so trim who is proud that the children belong to him the children dear, so happy and bright, who are busy all day and at night sleep tight in the house to which Nana went.

Little LassThis is the lassie who loves so to read that to some other things she pays little heed not even to Indians trained on the floor when muscles are tired and sword play is o'er after when, as all gentlemen should, fencing was practised with swords made of wood, in friendly fight twixt brave little men who owned the good weapons Santa brought them, but not on tree so pretty and light to which the dear baby, the wee little mite, was brought by lady of smiling mein who was resting once as can be plainly seen, to please the man with the beard so trim who is proud that the children belong to him the children dear, so happy and bright, who are busy all day and at night sleep tight in the house to which Nana went.

Oregon's BelleBut Oregon's belle she rather likes it was found on the way on one of her hikes does the lassie who loves so to read that to some other things she pays little heed not even to Indians trained on the floor when muscles are tired and sword play is o'er after when, as all gentlemen should, fencing was practised with swords made of wood, in friendly fight twixt brave little men who owned the good weapons Santa brought them, but not on tree so pretty and light to which the dear baby, the wee little mite, was brought by lady of smiling mein who was resting once as can be plainly seen, to please the man with the beard so trim who is proud that the children belong to him the children dear, so happy and bright, who are busy all day and at night sleep tight in the house to which Nana went.

RestingHere they're resting, the man and the girl - the man with trim beard, and the girl with a curl that Oregon's belle she rather likes it was found on the way on one of her hikes does the lassie who loves so to read that to some other things she pays little heed not even to Indians trained on the floor when muscles are tired and sword play is o'er after when, as all gentlemen should, fencing was practised with swords made of wood, in friendly fight twixt brave little men who owned the good weapons Santa brought them, but not on tree so pretty and light to which the dear baby, the wee little mite, was brought by lady of smiling mein who was resting once as can be plainly seen, to please the man with the beard so trim who is proud that the children belong to him the children dear, so happy and bright, who are busy all day and at night sleep tight in the house to which Nana went.

ReadingThis is the hour to children so dear, when Nana reads thrills that do creep one with fear: E'en those resting, the man and the girl, the man with trim beard, and the girl with a curl that Oregon's belle she rather likes it was found on the way on one of her hikes does the lassie who loves so to read that to some other things she pays little heed not even to Indians trained on the floor when muscles are tired and sword play is o'er after when, as all gentlemen should, fencing was practised with swords made of wood, in friendly fight twixt brave little men who owned the good weapons Santa brought them, but not on tree so pretty and light to which the dear baby, the wee little mite, was brought by lady of smiling mein who was resting once as can be plainly seen, to please the man with the beard so trim who is proud that the children belong to him the children dear, so happy and bright, who are busy all day and at night sleep tight in the house to which Nana went.

The Man NanaThe tale is told! and without a doubt these pictures fine have been crowded out. But lest their omission should cause a tear, we'll call them a "tail piece" and put them here.

The ElfExcept the baby's, the sweet little elf, to which we'll devote a page to itself.
