Etienne Neurdein & Louis Neurdein were brothers who had a photography studio at 52 Avenue de Breteuil, in Paris, France.
salt, albumen, carbon and bromide prints were among the many types of photographs they produced in their studio.
They were awarded a silver medal at the 1888 ‘Exposition de l'Union Centrale des Arts Decoratifs’, and in 1899 thier work was awarded a gold medal at the ‘Exposition Universelle in Paris’.
Reva Brooks left Canada in 1947 along with her husband Leonard who planned to study painting in Mexico for a year. They settled in the small Mexican town of San Miguel de Allende where Leonard began studying painting.
Accompanying Leonard on his painting trips, Reva began to photograph the local Mexican population and after a short time one of her photographs "Confrontation" came to the attention of Edward Weston and Ansel Adams, as well as Edward Steichen who purchased the photograph for inclusion in the New York Museum of Modern Art's Family of man exhibit.

Important William Wells Brown Ambrotype Discovered
A very rare and historically important full plate ambrotype of William Wells Brown the American abolitionist, author, and major figure in the Underground railroad was discovered today in Massachusetts.
The rare 1850's whole plate ambrotype attributed to the well known photographer Platt D. Babbit, shows the former slave Mr. William Wells Brown proudly standing alongside Scott Brown, and Mrs. William Brown, as well as two other identified women.
John Calvin Coovert "King Cotton" Panoramic Photograph
John Coovert was an early 20th century photographer (active 1862-1937) from Mississippi who became famous for his images of African Americans harvesting cotton in the south. Early on in his career as a photographer He won a Gold medal at the 1889 Paris Exposition for his photographs of state views. Coovert's "Cirkut" photographs can be viewed in the Library of Congress.
Could this cased tintype be the second known image of Henry T. P. Comstock?
We recently acquired a cased tintype purported to be Henry Tompkins Paige Comstock, and although we have tried to research this image, we have so far been unsuccessful.
In this article we will present our evidence and the research we have done to identify the man in this tintype, and then we will appeal to our readers to help us make a positive identification.
