A 1910 Christmas Reverie by Uncle Henry

Nana lives in Newton when she is at home, but Nana's sometimes frisky and dearly loves to roam. She went out to Chicago, her brother to see, and did a heep of gadding, as those who know agree.

From thence unto Manhattan she made a straightway rush and took it's famous subway amid an awful crush, that she might reach as spryly as a frightend little mouse.
